The A A R P - American Association of Retired People has gone the way of the unions and became part of the problem and does not represent the members that supports it. I believe that we should take back the management of our organization and have it start representing the whole organization!
We should keep the acronym and let it stand for Armed And Really Perturbed.
Lets start taking back this country one congressional seat at a time and one organization at a time. Its time to do away with this political correctness evil that has helped erode away the America that our Founding Fathers designed for us. he sought the endorsement of the Marxist party in 1996 as he ran for the Illinois Senate, people said it

twenty years and listened to a preacher spew hatred for America and preach black liberation theology, people said it didn't

an independent Washington organization, that tracks senate voting records, gave him the distinctive title as

his voting record in the Illinois senate and in the U.S. Senate came into question, people said it didn't

he refused to wear a flag, lapel pin and did so only after a public outcry,

people started treating him as a Messiah and children in schools were taught to
sing his praises, people

he stood with his hands over his groin area for the playing of the National
Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, people said it didn't matter.

he surrounded himself in the White house with advisors who were pro gun control,
pro abortion, pro homosexual marriage and wanting to curtail freedom of speech
to silence the opposition people said it didn't matter.

he aired his views on abortion, homosexuality and a host
of other issues,

he said he favors sex education in Kindergarten, including homosexual
indoctrination, people said it didn't matter.

Anita Dunn, White House Communications director said Mao Tse Tung was her
favorite philosopher and
the person she turned to most for inspiration,

he appointed Carol Browner as
global warming czar, and she
is a well known socialist working on
Cap and trade as the nations largest tax, people said it doesn't
matter.

he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as green energy czar, who
since had to resign when this was made known,

Tom Daschle, Obama's pick for
health and human services secretary could not be confirmed,
because he was a tax cheat,

of Saudi Arabia ,

we had to have to win, people said it didn't matter.

he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay it off,

said it didn't matter.

he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it to pay off
organizations, unions and individuals that got him elected,

said it didn't matter.
When
he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc.
people
said it didn't matter.
When
he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government,
people
said it didn't matter.
When
he designed plans to take over the health care system and
put it under government control, people
said it didn't matter.
When
he set into motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in the United
States through Cap and Trade,
people
said it didn't matter.
When
he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State ,
people
finally woke up........ but it was too late.
Any
one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter. But.... when
you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact
that our Obama is determined to make America over into a Marxist/Socialist
society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place.
All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an internet
search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will
write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a more happy ending
for most of America ? Personally, I like happy endings.
If
you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I think your
president is a socialist. There are too many facts supporting this. If you seek
the truth you will be richer for it. Don't just belittle the opposition.
Search for the truth. I did. Democrats, Republicans, Independents,
Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have you, we all need to pull together.
We all must pull together or watch the demise of a society that we all love and
cherish. If you are a religious person, pray for our nation.
Never
before in the history of America have we been confronted with problems so huge
that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. Don't rely on most
television news and what you read in the newspapers for the truth. Search the
internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad information, lies and distortions there
too but you are smart enough to spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying
breed. They are currently seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really
think they are about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news
networks except Fox who he has waged war against. There must be a reason. He
does not call them down on any specifics, just a general battle against them. If
they lie, he should call them out on it but he doesn't. Please, find the truth,
it will set you free.

biggest enemy is not China , Russia , or Iran ; no, our biggest enemy is a contingent of
politicians in Washington DC .

The voice of the Living God spoke to a teacher of God many years ago. He was on his knees praying for his people. He was questioning God on why so many of the people were ill and infirm, for among his people there was always someone praying for a healing.
The Voice said to him. "Go to the Law."
For the sake of brevity, the problem lay in human nature and how it influenced the human body. Think of these ten words as ten drugs secreted into our anatomy whenever we activate one of these human drives.
These drives may be said to be for:
1. Preeminence 2. Idolatry 3. Clannishness 4. Activity 5. Rebellion 6. Murder 7. Adultery 8. Stealing 9. Lying 10. Covetousness These are the factors of the sum total of human activity. It is only the effect of the ten words which keeps the Peoples of the World in the Illusion of Separateness, One from Another, and from God.
FREEDOM: Is it in truth a reality or simply a wonderful concept of man? Do you believe that this world was made by God who then placed man upon the earth and told him to go forth and multiply? Was man created by God to live free? Can anyone really be sure when man discovered that he was free?
The origin of man's knowledge of freedom and of a God who, it is believed, made him free is unknown. Mankind has always struggled and fought for freedom. Mankind flourishes in freedom. Freedom is the self-evident truth that has passed from father to son, mother to daughter, from the beginning of creation.
From the myths, tradition and cultural history of mankind there is a lesson that can be learned.
It has been written there was once a great land called Ur. In this land dwelled a people. They were shepherds. They traveled the land as they led their flocks. Among this people was a man called Abraham.
In a land of many gods, Abraham believed that there existed only one true God, the God of all things, the one God who creates and judges.
He taught his people that this God was the God of morality and truth. He taught that God made man to be free and responsible for his own actions. He taught that God made man free to do good or evil, as he may choose. He taught that any wrong act would result in punishment to the evildoer.
Abraham's descendants lived by his teachings and went forth and multiplied. In their freedom they grew and they prospered.

The equivalent exists within all other moral cultures.
Each of the commandments is addressed to the Individual, each of whom is to be responsible for his own thoughts, actions, words and deeds.
Each commandment recognizes freedom and liberty as being inherent in the nature of man.
The first commandment tells the individual to reject pagan gods and recognize his own value as a human being. He is taught that he shall accept no power but that of the Creator.
The second teaches the individual to form no image of abstract authority, but to direct his devotion toward the Truth of the Creator.
The third tells the individual not to speak frivolously of the Creator. Knowledge of fundamental truth . . . cause and effect . . . should be taken seriously.
The fourth tells man to devote some time to reflection and thought on the eternal truth.
The fifth recognizes the family as the primary human relationship and establishes parental authority over the child as the only authority which a child should accept as his own.
The sixth stresses the sanctity of human life . . . the individual's right to live, which is a right that must not be violated by another person.
The seventh establishes the principle of contract . . . the inviolability of promises given by persons to each other and the sanctity of the marriage contract, which is the basis of the family.
The eighth recognizes the individual's right to own property.
The ninth recognizes free speech . . . the individual's control over his own words and his responsibility for their truth.
The tenth emphasizes again the right of ownership. Not even in thought should a person violate the property rights of another.
It would appear that it is also in the nature of mankind to make excuses and ignore the teachings of the Creator.
This is the lesson to be learned by all peoples as they learn to accept responsibility for their thoughts, words and actions, for cause and effect are never separated.
A time came when the people begged their wise man, Samuel, to give them a king, because they would not accept responsibility f or themselves in their rejection of the Truths of the Creator.
Samuel tried to tell the people of their folly. He tried to teach the people of the fallacy of government. These are his words:
"This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to plow his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war . . . And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your olive yards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards . . . And he will take your men servants, and your maid servants, and your goodliest young men . . . and put them to his work . . . And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you."
If you study those words you will recognize the wisdom of Samuel. They are the precise statement of the sources of the state's power, the rejection of the Truths of the Creator, and of the state's attempt to control its subjects/citizens . . . first, by subversion of the law and "legal" plunder, the taking away of productive energy, then the rise of the bureaucracy and heavy taxation, followed by stagnation and poverty, leading to ultimate destruction in war.
The worshiping of today's government through blind obedience of it's dictates, statutes, ordinances, and codes represents servile submission to an imaginary authority.
Mankind must learn that this world, this universe, is not governed by the laws and rules that mankind makes up.
It is governed by a power that is in us, BUT NOT OF US . . .
The Declaration of Independence reaffirmed the rights of man as given to them by our Creator.
The Constitution for the Nation, as well as the Constitutions for the several States, confirm the truths of liberty and freedom.
It is up to us to demand that government return to its role of servant to the people, as it was originally created!
God may choose to protect us from government, but government can in no way protect us from God or ourselves. It's time for the people of this nation to chose whom they wish to serve . . .
Our neighbor is everyone on the face of this earth who recognizes the Truth and abides by these two commandments. Unless we abide by these, even the Creator cannot and will not protect us from ourselves.
(In my opinion one of the primary problems we have in combating the descent into socialism we are experiencing is simply that the magnitude of the proposed national debt, and the taxation which WILL be imposed on all Americans to pay for it, has reached a number that is beyond the capacity of the human mind to grasp. If we allow this debt to remain in place, or worse yet to be expanded, the effect under a liberal/democrat, or for that matter almost any administration will be to use it as an excuse for punitive and confiscatory levels of taxation (witness Cap and Trade legislation), as well as oppressive and stifling regulation on both business and personal activity. The impact of this will destroy the incentives which lubricate and power the greatest social/economic engine of Freedom the world has ever known....America's....ours, with Liberty, Freedom and Justice being the most significant casualties of all .)
12 Trillion dollars 12,000,000,000,000 10 raised to the 12th power!!! This number is roughly the amount of spending proposed and enacted by the current President and Congress to take place over the next ten years or so. The problem is that the human mind cannot grasp the magnitude of this number.
In today's world of computer technology and high finance we regularly hear casual reference to large numbers...Meg (million), Gig (billion), etc., and in modern federal budget lexicon "Trillion" has become far to common. We rarely give any thought to just what these words represent, or more to the point the relationship they bear to each other. In an effort to try to grasp the size of some of these numbers and see how the human mind tends to relate to them try the following exercise... We'll start with the number 1 Million, as it is somewhat within our realm of comprehension. If you were to start right now counting seconds, it would take you 12 days (actually 11.6 days). Now then, a number which starts to become more difficult get a grip on is Billion. Without doing any math, how long would you guess it would take to count 1 Billion seconds? What did you perceive the answer to be? The typical answer given by most people is anything from 1 to 6 months, a few answer as long as a year or two. The actual answer is 31.7 YEARS. That's the difference between 1 Million and 1 Billion....12 days and 32 years.
Now, consider this, the relationship between these numbers is a multiplier of 1,000... 12 days multiplied by 1,000 is 32 years, 1 Billion multiplied by 1,000 is 1 Trillion, so the duration of 1 trillion seconds should be readily apparent....32,000 YEARS....That's the difference between 1 million and 1 trillion...12 days and 32,000 YEARS .
Now imagine handing out $1.00/second, it would take 12 days non-stop to hand out 1 Million dollars, 32 years non-stop to hand out a Billion dollars, and 32 THOUSAND YEARS NON-STOP to hand out 1 Trillion dollars.
Folks, we are currently on the hook for 12 TRILLION DOLLARS, in terms of money that's 384,000 YEARS at $1.00/second, almost half a Million years....at a Billion dollars/second it's 400 YEARS , Think about that. That's a Billion dollars /second for a period of time almost twice as long as America has existed as a nation. Also bear in mind the hard fact that NO government spending estimate has ever been accurate, that their estimates are ALWAYS wrong on the low side, that the actual cost is usually twice the amount they tell us it will be or greater.
Our "share" of this debt as American citizens is approximately $43,000.00 each, or $111,000.00 per household, based on the best data I can find from the 2000 census. This of course assumes that NO further deficit spending takes place for the next decade, which of course will not be the case.
Future writings will discuss in more depth the implications and ramifications to our economy, as well as the possible and probable impact on our lives and society of allowing this kind of irresponsible spending and the attendant TAXATION by the government to take place.
In the meantime, please educate yourself as to who in government is supporting this. Find out who in Congress is voting in favor of all this spending and who is choosing not to vote at all, and don't just commit to vote against them if they represent you, rather, actively campaign to remove them and let them know you are doing so and why.Even if they don't directly represent you you can still have an impact, whether they represent you or not you can still flood their phone lines with phone calls. Shut down their servers with e-mails. Swamp their offices with letters, if possible send the letters by registered mail requiring that they be signed for. If you have friends or relatives which do live in area's they represent try to get them involved in these activities.
Learn who in Congress is standing against this kind of legislation and voting against it. Do more than just support and vote for them if they represent you. Actively campaign for them and let them know you are doing so and why. If they represent area's you do not live in try to influence any friends and relatives in their constituencies to be more active in keeping them in place. If you can afford to, donate to their campaign funds whether or not you live in the areas/states they represent.
Recent elections have given us the concept of "Red" and "Blue" states,counties, etc. Originally meant to distinguish between Republican and Democrat leaning areas, the terms have now begun to differentiate opposing ideologies, ie. conservative and liberal. Let's use that concept. If you know how to, or can find out how to, make the fonts "Red" in your e-mails to the representatives who favor the spending/stimulus bills to show at a glance that you oppose them. When writing "snail-mail" letters use red envelopes or ink. The same color coding of communication will also show those who are standing against the bills that you support them in this.
We are currently engaged in what is probably a never ending fight to the finish with far more at stake than just the state of the economy. At stake here is our Liberty, both personal and societal. At stake is the survival of our Republic as we have known it. At stake is the very integrity of our Sovereignty as a Nation, which is no more than a bargaining chip in the game currently being played by our current crop of politicians, both here on the home field and in the world arena.
The mid-term elections in 2010 are going to be our first real chance to strike a blow in this fight, and our right's to vote and to free political speech are our primary weapons. If we can unseat every representative in Washington, House and Senate, who is playing a part in this debacle it will both stagger our opposition and perhaps give us room to catch our breath in preparation for the following round.
The United States of America is unique and exceptional in all of human history by virtually every measure ever used to rate Human societies.
The United States of America is so much more than just a (or the only) current Super-Power on the Earth. It is, as Ronald Reagan said, "The Shining City on the Hill", to which all people on this planet who desire Freedom, Independence, and opportunity look for inspiration. While not perfect, it has been the closest thing that has ever existed to that which Humans throughout history have aspired. It is a land of unequaled Freedom and opportunity, where any individual, regardless of their status of birth or origin, can attempt, accomplish, and achieve virtually anything their heart, soul, and mind is able to conceive. Let's Keep it So!
